FRANCOPHONY PUBLICATION ETHICS
Francophony French Language and Literature Studies and Research Joint Book, which has been publishing national and international original scientific research articles in the fields of French literature, French literature, Turkish literature, comparative literature, linguistics and translation studies since 1989, is an internationally refereed journal published in accordance with the ethical principles and rules stated below. Articles sent to Francophony are evaluated with a double-blind process and published with the decision of the editor and the editorial board. In scientific articles sent to our journal, the recommendations of the ICMJE (International Committee of Medical Journal Editors) and the International Standards for Editors and Authors of the COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) are taken into consideration.
Responsibilities of authors sending articles to Francophony:
Articles sent to the journal are expected to be conducted in the fields of French literature, French literature, Turkish literature, comparative literature, linguistics and translation studies and have methodological qualities.
The sources used in the articles must be correctly indicated by following the MLA reference system.
Articles submitted to the journal must not have been published or evaluated in another journal.
Authors are responsible for the content of the articles they submit to the journal.
Ethics Permissions
If the study requires the use of human subjects, authors are responsible for obtaining institutional ethics committee approval.
Authors must provide a clear statement explaining that the necessary permissions have been obtained from human subjects and that the rights of the participants have been respected.
Permission must be obtained from the owners for the use of scales, surveys and photographs belonging to others.
It is necessary to state that the intellectual and artistic works used comply with copyright regulations.
The following situations require ethics committee approval:
- Any research conducted with qualitative or quantitative approaches that require the collection of data from participants using survey, interview, focus group study, observation, experiment, interview techniques,
- The use of humans and animals (including material/data) for experimental or other scientific purposes,
- Clinical research conducted on humans,
- Research conducted on animals.
Responsibilities of referees who evaluate articles for Francophonie:
All articles sent to the journal are evaluated with a double-blind process. The author does not know who is evaluating his/her article, and the identity of the author is kept confidential.
Articles sent to the journal are sent to two referees according to their expertise after being evaluated by the editor and the editorial board.
Referees are expected to make impartial and guiding evaluations within the time period given to them and to justify their decisions in the evaluation form sent to them. Referees are also required to forward any corrections, additions and comments they make to the article to the editor to be sent to the author.
Responsibilities of the editor and editorial board:
They are required to evaluate articles sent to Francophonie fairly, based solely on their content.
They are expected to keep information about the articles confidential.
Copyright and Access
Authors acknowledge that they have transferred the copyright of published articles to Francophonie.
Images, figures etc. in articles sent to Francophonie It is the author’s responsibility to obtain permission from the necessary persons or institutions for supporting elements.
Francophonie Fee Policy
A fee of 300 TL is requested from submitted articles in order to cover the publication expenses of the journal, which continues its publication life in print.
After the fee is paid, the articles are first evaluated by the editorial board in terms of purpose, scope, contribution to the field, etc. and it is decided whether or not they will be included in the referee evaluation process.

Plagiarism and Unethical Behaviors
All articles sent to Francophonie will be scanned with the iThenticate software program starting from the 38th issue. Articles showing more than 20% similarity will be sent to the author for review, and if the similarity rate does not decrease in the second scan, publication will be rejected by the decision of the editorial board.
